This is a very small update, and while I previously said this update would be dedicated almost entirely to bug fixes, I ended up spending most of my time working on a new tutorial instead. Version 0.9 Pre-release is the seventh pre-release for Baldi's Basics Plus. It was released on February 3, 2025, and serves as a pre-release of V0.9 of Baldi's Basics Plus.
Changes[]
- Added Tutorial mode.
- Baldi now lip syncs while praising the player after they answer a math problem in Baldi's Math Machine correctly.
- Baldi no longer says everything after "Just click on your name!".
- There is now a "New File" button in the sign-in screen.
- Baldi now says "Welcome! Since you're new, just type in your name! It's that easy, haha!" after clicking the "New File" button.
- The player now has to type in their name in the keyboard screen after clicking "New File", instead of just typing it in on the clipboard.
- The Game Settings screen now appears after selecting Hide-and-Seek. Therefore, the Game Settings page in options is removed.
- Explorer Mode has been turned into a Play Style.
- The seed input field now appears after selecting Hide-and-Seek, therefore the one seen in the mode selection screen is removed.
- A keyboard is added to the name entry screen for the controller support.
- Cloudy Copter's wind and conveyor belt audio are now propagated.
- The "freinds" typo in the description of Dirty Chalk Eraser is fixed.
- The "progess" typo in the description of the farm in the Field Trips mode is fixed.
- 'Anim8or Discord Community' is added in the credits.
Trivia[]
- Despite this pre-release being released in 2025, the copyright date still mentions the release year as 2024.
Glitches[]
- Sometimes, if Baldi gets squished by Dr. Reflex or when the broken ruler event starts, his sprite appears to use the same one from the Tutorial, instead of his broken ruler sprites.
- The saved game can be erased when playing other modes apart from Hide-and-Seek.
