The screen that shows up upon creating a new save file and then playing a game on it for the first time. It asks if the player wants to take the Tutorial.
Upon creating a new save file and playing on it for the first time, the player can choose whether or not they want to complete the Tutorial. They can still play this mode whenever they want, however. When this happens, the following message will be displayed: "Since this is your first time playing my game, you should take my quick tutorial! I made it so I can teach you how to play! Whaddya say? If you don't want to take it now, you can always try it later!". If the player presses the "Let's Go!" text, the Tutorial will begin. However, pressing the "No, thanks." text will send the player to the mode selection screen.
If the player is in a room, they cannot open a door to the next location until they finish the task required to open said door.
Clicking on Baldi will make him repeat the previously given instruction.
There are 5 notebooks to collect in this mode.
List[]
The Tutorial teaches the player about many aspects of the game, such as:
The Quarter and plus icons respawn when 10 seconds have passed after collecting them, resulting in them, along with the BSODA, being renewable in this mode.
The only items available in Johnny's Store are the following:
When Baldi plays Hide-and-Seek with the player in the Tutorial, Baldi does not slap his ruler to catch the player. Instead, he moves naturally with his tutorial sprite.
Also, when Baldi catches the player in this state, he does not cause a game over, and instead, he will stop and let the player go.
Principal of the Thing always gives the player 25 seconds of detention, no matter how many times they get caught by him.
Baldi's voice lines in this mode are more compressed than those in other modes. This is because mystman12 thought it is important to make users to clearly hear what Baldi is saying.[1]
The number of notebooks needed to collect was 4, alike to Floor 1.
It was changed to 5 notebooks to prevent players from completing the tutorial too quickly.[2]
There was a window that connected the Principal's office to the hallway that leads to the first classroom.
The price of items in Johnny's Store was 100 YTPs, instead of 250 YTPs. Also, Johnny did not lend a hand for the player.
The character posters were located closer to each other.
The music was louder.
The button could be pressed behind the wall.
The hidden Baldi in-game.
When clipping through the map, there is a hidden Baldi in a single tile. This tile is used to prevent him from roaming around the school until after the countdown during the hide-and-seek segment for the Tutorial.
Despite V0.10 replacing super doors' buttons with levers, the super doors seen in the Tutorial still use buttons.
In V0.10 Pre-release, the super doors in the Tutorial were briefly changed to use levers, though this change was reverted in its public release.
Prior to V0.10, the Tutorial was the only instance where Johnny could sell more than 6 items.
Since V0.10, this has been implemented into the Pitstop for Floor 4 and 5.
Glitches[]
Principal of the Thing, staying in place and not coming out.
Sometimes, Principal of the Thing does not go out from the one-way swinging door even after pressing a button to open a super door. This can cause soft lock because getting sent to detention by him is the only way to progress this mode.
Baldi disappearing after the countdown in the Principal's office in the Tutorial, when the Explorer Play Style is present.
If the player plays Hide-and-Seek with the Explorer Play Style and afterwards plays the Tutorial, Baldi disappears and will not start chasing the player after reaching the final part of the Tutorial.
The map will not fill a notebook properly, leading them to be absent. This does not apply to the first 2 notebooks.
In V0.9 Pre-release, Baldi would repeat the instruction whenever the player put a BSODA to a storage locker, then took it back.
Prior to V0.10.2, the player could pause the game during the mode's ending screen.
A red arrow for the direction where the player has to go in a 360° view. The sprite changes depending on the player's location.
An unfinished version of the arrow sent in the Anim8or Discord server for "help on making it better".[3]

↑"I'm still using the Blue Yeti as I found a way to fix the issues I was having with it. The real reason the tutorial lines sound different is because I pretty heavily compressed and normalized the audio to ensure it was clearly audible over the music and any other sound effects that might be playing. When I first tested the audio in-game, before compressing it, I realized it was a bit too quiet and, since it's crucial that people can clearly hear what is being said in the tutorial, I opted to edit it in this way to fix that problem. Future Baldi lines outside the tutorial should sound the same as before since I won't be compressing them as much if at all." - Baldi's Basics Plus Steam Community Hub

↑"Hey all, I've got a quick question and I'm wondering if anyone can help. Basically, when I use a path to create a shape and extrude it, I usually want to smooth it out a bit to make things look rounded. Doing this though has almost always resulted in things looking wrinkly, like in this simple arrow I modeled. You can see the corners and the base all have this wrinkly look to it. In the past I've just dealt with this as is, with occasional attempts to mitigate it by adjusting tension when smoothing, but I'd really like to know if there's a better way to create and smooth custom shaped. Thanks in advance for any help!" - mystman12. Discord
