For the series of long, thin corridors, see Hallway.

The roto-hall is an obstacle found in Baldi's Basics Plus.

Description[]

The roto-hall is a narrow corner of a hallway that is very sci-fi in appearance. It seems to have a gray metallic texture on the outside, and on the inside, it has some yellow painted stripes going across it. It also has a round floor, which is the same as the base texture of the merry-go-round, but in yellow.

It has a texture of a map facing different directions placed on the outer walls of the roto-hall.

Functions[]

One way roto-hall

A straight roto-hall.

Unlike other hallway corners, the roto-hall can rotate in different directions, allowing the player to get away from other characters or access different parts of the Super Schoolhouse more quickly.

Rarely, straight roto-halls can be generated.

Buttons can be found all over the Super Schoolhouse that control their respective roto-halls. When a roto-hall button is pressed, the respective roto-hall will rotate fast until it spins in another direction.

Locations[]

Roto-halls are randomly found in hallways and they serve as a unique type of corridor. They only appear in Hide-and-Seek and Explorer Mode.

Other appearances[]

  • In Baldi's Basics Full Game Early Demo, there is only one roto-hall. In order to change the direction, the player must enter the faculty room located nearby and press the button. The roto-hall will then rotate to match another orientation. The scribbled chalkboard with an erased 99 number is also briefly seen when using this roto-hall.

Trivia[]

Baldi's Basics Plus[]

  • The name "roto-hall" derives from the files, in which the audio refers to the object as "RotoHall", hence the name.
    • The dash (-) between the words "roto" and "hall" was first mentioned in Baldi's Basics Plus V0.2.2 and V0.2.1 update logs.
  • Prior to V0.4, roto-hall rotated much slower than it is now. Also, it only spined in one direction and used completely different sound.

Glitches[]

Baldi's Basics Plus[]

  • The player or NPCs can get stuck on the roto-hall when they move inside of it while it is rotating.
  • Prior to V0.2.2, some roto-halls had incorrect direction signs.
  • Prior to V0.3.5, if using a Grappling Hook on the roto-hall, it would pass through the roto-hall's obstacle part. Then, the Grappling Hook would hook up to another surface, and eventually, it would snap.
  • Prior to V0.4, the roto-hall kept rotating even if it fit the right direction.
