Number balloons are floating objects found in classrooms with Baldi's Math Machine in Baldi's Basics Plus and Demo Style in Baldi's Basics Classic Remastered.
Description[]
Number balloons found in-game.
They resemble normal balloons, but are shaped like numbers. The balloons appear in several different colors:
- 0 is red.
- 1 is cyan.
- 2 is red.
- 3 is green.
- 4 is yellow.
- 5 is magenta.
- 6 is green.
- 7 is magenta.
- 8 is cyan.
- 9 is blue.
Functions[]
Grabbing a number balloon.
The player can grab a number balloon by doing the "Interact" action (Left click or E by default) on any balloon. If the player hovers over one of the number balloons, it will move down.
Number balloons are used to solve a math question in Baldi's Math Machine. When the math problem is solved, all remaining balloons will pop, disappearing out of sight.
If the player leaves the classroom while grabbing a number balloon, the number balloon will pop and respawn in a random location in the classroom.

- The number balloons resemble the numbers seen in Sonic's Schoolhouse.
- The popping sound was taken from Warner Bros. Sound Effects Library.
Baldi's Basics Plus/Classic Remastered[]
- The number 7 balloon's string appears to be slightly disconnected from the number balloon.
- The string of the number balloons appear to be the exact same shape, just slightly moved around for each sprite.
Baldi's Basics Plus[]
- After the player inserts any balloon into Baldi's Math Machine while Mrs. Pomp reminds the player, these balloons are still floating, but they will be popped later.
- Prior to V0.2, if the wrong number balloon was used, the rest of the balloons would not pop.
- Prior to V0.3.4, when starting a new level, the number balloons spawned at the center of the classroom and each balloon spawned in ascending/descending order. Now, they spawn in random positions.
- Prior to V0.4, number balloons did not move down when the player was hovering over them.
- Prior to V0.4.1, number balloons had a caption when popping after being inserted into the Math Machine.
- Prior to V0.4.2, number balloons would float back into the classroom when the player leaves the classroom while grabbing it.
Glitches[]
Baldi's Basics Plus[]
- While holding a number balloon and approaching near an empty tile, the balloon will get darker.
- Rarely, number balloons can be seen clipping through walls or objects.
- Since V0.4, number balloons rarely get stuck in a classroom with a diagonal Math Machine.
- If the player gets sucked up by a whirlpool during the flood event while holding a number balloon, then the number balloon will be stuck to the floor.
- If the trapped balloon is the balloon required to solve the Baldi's Math Machine problem, the player has to put a wrong number balloon into the machine.
- This glitch was initially fixed in V0.1.4, but it returned in V0.4.2.
- Prior to V0.1.4, if the correct number balloon was stuck to the floor, the game soft-locked because the rest of the balloons would only pop when the correct number balloon is used on the machine. Therefore, the player had to get caught by Baldi or restart the game as they could not get a notebook from this classroom.
- In V0.4 and V0.4.1, number balloons could be grabbed outside of classrooms. This usually happened in L-shaped classrooms.
- Sometimes, number balloons were floating around in another room.
