Various 3D models are used throughout the Baldi's Basics video game series.

Purpose[]

Like sprites, 3D models are used for certain structures or for decoration. However, unlike sprites and textures, models are three-dimensional (3D), meaning they have depth.

Structures[]

There are several structures in the form of 3D models.

There are two exclusive 3D models in the playground: The merry-go-round and the basketball hoop.

Field trip models[]

There was a model of logs used for the campfire in the camping field trip prior to Baldi's Basics Plus V0.3. In Baldi's Basics - Field Trip demo: Camping, there were also models of logs used as the camping seats.

Trivia[]

General[]

  • All models were made in UModeler.
  • The furniture in Baldi's Basics Plus and Baldi's Basics Classic Remastered (excluding the round table) seems to be smaller and the textures are not overstuffed like in Classic/Birthday Bash.
  • In Full Game Early Demo, when decompiling, there appears to be one unused model called "vent", along with its script that builds the vent. Although this model was scrapped in the demo, it was later implemented into Baldi's Basics Plus in V0.8.
    • Belt
In the game files, there is an unused texture named "vent", but it is the same as the conveyor belt's texture.
    • Its script (VentBuilder) could be found in the Baldi's Basics Plus game files, prior to V0.4.
  • The device used for the MyComputer model's textures appears to be the Amiga 1000.

Baldi's Basics Plus[]

  • The round table was implemented in the first version.
  • The round table's texture is also used as a ceiling.
  • 7 mgr

    7 merry-go-rounds.

Certain seeds give off a number of merry-go-rounds ranging from 0 to 7.
  • Whirlpools are also made by 3D modeling.
  • The computers have a buzzing sound, however the ones that are turned off do not have any sound.
  • Faculty computers

The computer is sideways in a faculty room.

Sometimes, computers are sideways in faculty rooms.
  • Prior to V0.3.2, there was a bug that prevented the basketball hoops from being generated in the game.

Baldi's Basics Classic[]

  • Floating chairs

Floating chairs prior to V1.2 of Baldi's Basics Classic.

Prior to V1.2, chairs were floating above the ground.
  • Prior to V1.4, the furniture was not textured.
