Baldi's Basics Wiki

The debug room is a rare hidden room that can be found in Baldi's Basics Plus.

Description

The particular room is made with grid-like textures which were used as placeholder textures for the level layouts. The floor is red, the wall is green, and the ceiling is blue. The door is blue like the classroom doors but lacks a doorknob and is entirely textured with a big "DOOR" text written in red paint. The room is featured with no items or any furniture.

Overview

The chance to find this room is highly rare, due to its appearance only occurring when the level generator is unable to find a suitable room type to place, and can be found as early as floor 1, commonly on ones with fewer notebooks than usual.

These rooms are usually connected with faculty rooms, the library and commonly the playground.

Trivia

  • The textures for this room were first shown in the production videos. Some videos and screenshots feature some large, heavily-edited head sprites of the angry Baldi.
  • In Baldi's Basics Full Game Early Demo, a set of same placeholder textures were found in the game files.
  • In Baldi's Basics Kickstarter Exclusive Demo, the same textures were used for Gotta Sweep's closet.
    • This was still applied on Baldi's Basics Plus until V0.1.5 in randomly generated levels and V0.3.2 in pre-generated levels.
  • Since the advanced map has a same background color as the debug room's map color, it is very difficult to be seen in the advanced map.
  • Prior to V0.3.5, the wall, floor and ceiling textures had lack of a letter.
