Cut content This article lists existing features that were cut, in other words: unused, scrapped, or removed. These can be found in the game files, older updates, or pre-released/reworked content.

There are cut locations everywhere throughout the Baldi's Basics series. They appear to be unused, or were used for testing purposes at some point during the development of a game/update.

Baldi's Basics Plus[]

Baldi's Basics Plus includes some unused maps that are only accessible with hacks.

Farm field trip collision map[]

This is a map that generates along with a 2D maze in farm field trip.

It is used for detecting collision between animals, walls, and a barn in the background.

Light test room[]

Added in V0.6, it is a test map that has placeholder textures on every tile, If the player were to noclip outside of the map, the player can also see the "twilight" skybox. There is another room that has blue lighting, Baldi and Playtime are inside that room and they behave normally.

LightTestRoom

In V0.3.8, it was a test map that had a shrink machine, a Baldi's Math Machine, and chalkboards all over the map. The previous version also had the "twilight" skybox.

NPC State Machine Test map[]

Added in V0.5 of Baldi's Basics Plus, the NPC State Machine Test map is a map that was seemingly used to test the NPC State Machine system, implemented in V0.4. It is given the acronym NSM in the elevator, however it ends up creating a second row for the M, because it extends outside the bounds of the text object.

Unfortunately, the map throws an error when trying to load. This is because of an "Index was outside the bounds of the array." error, which is caused when the game tries to look for a value which is outside of a preset array, which the game was supposed to have specified.

As of V0.7, it is completely removed.

Occlusion culling test map[]

This map was shown in one of the bi-monthly Kickstarter updates.[1] It appears to be a huge Super Schoolhouse filled with tons of objects, presumably for testing optimization technics, such as "occlusion culling" that was firstly introduced in Baldi's Basics Classic V1.4.

A different occlusion culling test map containing lots of empty rooms and hallways (and some posters), most of them inaccessible without using hacks, can be found when using UnityExplorer to access it in V0.4 of Baldi's Basics Plus.

Title screen light map preview[]

A playable version with 1 notebook.

This preview appears to be a simple quad mesh with a lightmap texture. It is located inside of the main menu, presumably accesable with using UnityExplorer.

Wild west[]

The unfinished wild west map.

The wild west was a scrapped field trip after the farm field trip was made. There were multiple rooms that the player could hide from Baldi who shot plungers to them.

Baldi's Basics Classic Remastered[]

There appears to be no hidden maps in this game.

Although, the main menu includes the same lightmap quad mesh from Baldi's Basics Plus.
