Buttons are a switch mechanism for controlling objects in the Baldi's Basics series.

Description

Buttons appear as orange rubbery spheres attached to gray rectangles.

Functions

Pressing the button will change or activate nearby structures in several ways:

• Slowly rotates roto-halls.
• Changes the direction of conveyor belts.
• Opens/closes lockdown doors.

While conveyor belts will change the direction right after pressing the button, the player has to wait for roto-halls and lockdown doors to be completely activated in order to reactivate them.

General

The buttons are found attached to walls in all locations in the Super Schoolhouse, excluding Baldi's Office, and the mystery room. It is possible to have two buttons in a single floor.

Endless Mode - Medium

A button in Endless Mode - Medium.

The button is found in the Principal's office and is used for the lockdown door.

Challenges

Currently, each challenge (except for the Speedy Challenge) has one button for the lockdown doors.

• 

  A button in the Stealthy Challenge.

  In the Stealthy Challenge, the button can be found in the hallway near the lockdown door it is used on.

• 

  A button in the Grapple Challenge.

  In the Grapple Challenge, it can be found in a faculty room next to another faculty room with a WD-NoSquee.

Other appearances

• In Baldi's Basics Birthday Bash, four buttons are attached on the walls in the puzzle room in the glitched school. Every time the player presses one of the buttons, the number on the left will go up by 1, but after the number reaches 9, it will turn back to 0. When it is pressed, there is no sprite for it, but the button makes a clicking sound.
• In Baldi's Basics Full Game Early Demo, there are only two buttons; one for the conveyor belt in a hallway where it is, and one for the roto-hall found in the faculty room with a Swinging Door Lock near it.
• In Baldi's Basics Kickstarter Exclusive Demo, buttons are introduced on floor 1.

Trivia

Baldi's Basics Plus

• The button uses its pressed sprite before the floor begins.

• 

  A button overlapping a poster.

  Rarely, there is a one-way roto-hall and there are no buttons to change the directions of the roto-hall.
• Buttons can rarely overlap posters.
• Prior to V0.1.3, buttons could spawn in the mystery room.
• Prior to V0.3, the buttons were first introduced on floor 1.
